Gravity Water Systems (GWS) develops next-generation, low-energy water recovery
and desalination technology for impaired, brackish, and previously inaccessible
water sources. Founded by renown medical technology inventor Dr. Richard Yen,

in the early-commercial stage, with a focus on scalable, field-deployable systems that
deliver clean water at dramatically lower energy and operational costs than
conventional reverse osmosis (RO) or thermal desalination.
Core Technology
GWS leverages gravity-assisted flow dynamics to augment transmembrane pressure
to increase yield and reduce membrane fouling. The technology reduces electricity
consumption by a substantial margin compared to standard RO systems while
maintaining high recovery rates and effective salt/brine management. The process is
modular, containerized, and suitable for remote or off-grid sites. It handles high-TDS
impaired groundwater, agricultural drainage, surface water, and extreme-
contaminant scenarios.
Early-stage demonstrations are designed for rapid deployment and replication, with
built-in flexibility for profit-sharing from produced water sales or franchised
operations.
